Joseph Franklin began performing
professionally in 1988 and was soon appearing on local television and
appearing in area restaurants with his magic. Although he
explored many the facets of magic in the
beginning, he soon settled into a signature comedic style of entertaining.
Joseph has since performed around the country including Chicago, Nashville
and Branson, and has had articles and illusions published in magic
magazines. He has received a number of accolades for his art,
including the 2000 Magician of the Year Award and 2004 Performer of the Year Award from the International
Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) Ring 56
, and 2nd Place in the 1st Annual MagiCelebration Close-up Competition.
Joseph is always helping to promote the art of magic by giving lectures for conventions and magic clubs, and helping beginning magicians learn new and better ways of performing magic. He has learned much from the magic mentors he has had the privilege to work with along the way, and is always quick to give credit to them. Among them are Dean Montalbano, Gary Burgdorf, Bill DeMar, and Chris Moore.
Joseph has the ability to entertain all ages, and has shared his magic with preschools and day care facilities, schools and colleges, corporations, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and much more. Whether it's a birthday party for 10 kids or a company party for 500 employees, Joseph has a show for every occasion.
